SIX students were badged prefects of the Fiji School for the Blind in Vatuwaqa last week.

European Union Pacific delegation ambassador Sujiro Seam and his wife, Jane Seam, officiated at the ceremony with Jenny Seeto.

The induction happened in conjunction with the handover of art supplies and musical instruments by the I See Love In Your Eyes (ISLIYE) Art Initiative to the school.

Rusiate Tunabuna is the head boy this year and Raina Kumar was badged head girl.

Speaking as a former prefect and head girl of her primary and secondary schools, Ms Seeto said the roles would allow them to grow as leaders.

“It’s your chance to show and grow as leaders in your school community,” she said.

“Do enjoy your time in your leadership roles.”.
