PLANS for the extension of the Savusavu market on Vanua Levu are expected to accommodate more new vendors.

During her tour of the town last week, Minister for  Local Government Premila Kumar said the construction of the new Savusavu market would house more vendors as compared to the old one.

A brief report provided to Mrs Kumar stated that the building will cover 700 square metres and accommodate 400 stalls.

This is an increase of about 20 per cent from the old market.
