THE Shave or Save campaign is one of the biggest events for WOWS Kids Fiji which brings in a lot of money to help support its services to children battling cancer.
Co-founder of WOWS Kids Fiji Sina Kami said the organisation showed support for children who go through cancer.
“When children go through chemotherapy, they lose their hair so this is a way to show support of their journey with cancer,” she said.
She said she had taken part in the campaign twice and it was more personal for her.
“This is indeed a great initiative — one that shows support for children battling cancer.
“For people who take part, I think it maybe because they lost a loved one but the funds they collect would then determine whether they would save or shave their hair.”
Come this Saturday, Opposition MP Lenora Qereqeretabua will find out if the funds she’s collected will either save or shave her adored buiniga.
