THE Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team will be “ruthless” in this weekend’s Singapore 7s.
That’s the word yesterday from coach Gareth Baber after a solid day at training for the Jerry Tuwai-captained side.
Fiji will return to the 7s paddock tomorrow at the National Stadium in Singapore wounded from the Commonwealth Games gold medal final loss to New Zealand.
This weekend’s tournament could determine the participating teams’ positions on the standings and possibly the end result pending Paris 7s and London 7s.
“Our biggest strength is that of our ability to play the game at high tempo, with the pace and the skill of timing our passes late or offloads which create space,” coach Baber said.
“Our job is to focus on our strengths and force the opposition to concern themselves with how we play. “
