Veteran forward Rusila Nagasau will captain the Fijiana 7s team at the XXII Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.
The side consists of 10 bronze medallists who were regular starters during the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Fijiana 7s coach Saiasi Fuli said selecting his final squad wasn’t an easy task, especially after the performance of the new girls during the 2021/2022 World Rugby Sevens Series.
“We created a very competitive environment for them in terms of discipline, fitness, understanding of set-pieces and executing the plans against the opponents while on the field,” he said.
“These girls know the expectation and are ready to put Fiji on the world map once again.
“Vani Buleki, Verenaisi Bari, Ivamere Nabura and Maria Rokotuisiga will add more firepower in the squad as they have been performing at their level best this season.”
Rugby 7s at the Commonwealth Games will be played from July 29-31 at the Coventry Stadium.
