FOR the first time, members of 10 women’s groups from Tavua had the opportunity to display handmade clothing and linen during the West Agriculture Show.
Women’s interest officer Perina Dika said the opportunity to showcase their products to the public was a good opportunity for rural women.
“This was an opportune time to present their own products individually. We have brought an array of products ranging from tablecloths, pillowcases, fans, doormats, baskets, cushion covers as well as pot holders,” she said.
“We also have a lot of patchwork quilts on display as well.”
Apart from this, women also displayed homemade delicacies such as ghee.
“This is also a good opportunity for members of the public to see what projects women’s groups are carrying out.”
