The RoC Market in the Capital City is getting bigger and better.
Gayani Herath, a new stall owner at this year’s RoC Market, said she experienced good business by selling handmade fabric bags at the event in Suva yesterday.
“My sales are really good and this is my hobby making bags and pencil cases.
“But now, it’s a good source of income for me,” Ms Herath said.
The budding Sri Lankan national said she decided to sell at the RoC Market because it attracted a lot of customers and it was held on Sunday which was a good day out for her.
Another stall owner and small business entrepreneur, Anita Cher, said her handmade jewellery was helping her get through this tough financial period during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I find this business really good, I don’t have to rely on other people, so whatever income I get from this small business, I am able to survive and put food on the table for my family.
“RoC Market is really good, because you have a lot of customers from all walks of life who come and buy your products.” Ms Cher added.
