Robbery suspects deny stealing items and cash worth $4440

FOUR men charged with a count each of aggravated robbery and act with intent to cause grievous harm have pleaded not guilty to the charges before the High Court in Suva today.
Samuela Delai, Samisoni Biolelvu, Boni Savu and Josaia Lukutu with another unknown person are alleged to on October 15, 2018 at Nasinu committed theft of assorted properties and cash worth $4440 belonging to Hirashmi Deep Mani and immediately before committing theft used force on Navantika Singh.
It is also alleged the suspects on the same day with intent caused grievous harm to Pawan Singh by unlawfully striking him with a pinch bar and cane knife.
State lawyer, Juleen Fatiaki informed the court that the complainant was the daughter of the owner of the properties.
Ms Fatiaki said the state would rely on caution interview for Mr Bilolevu and Mr Savu.
Justice Thushara Rajasinghe remanded Mr Lukuta and extended the bail of the remaining three accused.
The case has been adjourned to June 25.
