Robbery suspect to spend Christmas and New Years day in remand

A MAN charged with one count of aggravated robbery has been remanded in custody by the High Court in Suva.

It is alleged that Joseva Rakai robbed a person of cash and assorted items to the total value of $4900 on April 21, 2018 in Samabula.

Defence lawyer Litiana Ratidara has sought 14 days to file amended voir dire grounds.

Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe has adjourned the case to January 22, 2019 for mention.
