THE reigning Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union Deans Trophy champion, Ratu Kadavulevu School thrashed Queen Victoria School 68-0 in the Eastern Zone rugby semi-finals yesterday.

The lads from Delainakaikai were unstoppable.

They led the first half 33-0.

RKS will face Lelean Memorial School in the final next week at Ratu Cakobau Park.

Eastern Zone Secondary Schools rugby Union president Solomone Seru said all teams showed different styles of play.

“All schools have shown how successful their training program had been,” Seru said.

“RKS showed an outstanding and high-class rugby performance. We were all shocked and amazed with their skill. They showed no fear, they were strong in their attacks and their defence were solid.

“The game plan that they followed is nothing compared to what other schools showed. No wonder they are the world champions.”

He added that it will be another tough competition when these two teams meet next week.

“We will see another new level of secondary school rugby. Both teams have qualified for the nationals and we will see who will take the third position against St John’s College and QVS.

“Whoever wins will face a team from the North.”
