DUDLEY HIGH School student Maika Riwai has set his sight on the 2018 Coca-Cola Games after winning the senior boys 1500 metres and 3000m finals at the Suva Zone 1 competition at the ANZ Stadium in Suva yesterday.

Riwai clocked 10.08.26 minutes in the 3000m and 4.38.36m in the 1500m.

He said this was the first time he participated in the 1500m.

“I have worked hard for this and I would like to thank the Lord,”he said.

“Last year before the 3000m Coke Games, I got injured, but this year I am looking forward to the Fiji Finals,” he said.

Meanwhile, Solomoni Saudromodromo of Nasinu Secondary School set a new sub junior boys long jump zone record.

He jumped 4.76m to topple the old record of 4.62m set in 2014.
