THE Royal Fiji Military Forces veterans farm in Nasinu today held their 1st Mini Open Day on Aleana Guava.

Lee Tai-Chang the leader of the Technical Mission of China (Taiwan) said the Veterans Farm now holds the largest Guava Farm in Fiji.

“It has more than 800 plants of Guava so we are hosting this open day so people could come in to see the farm,” he said.

Veterans, Women’s groups and students gathered at the farm today to have a look at the Aleana Guava plants being grown there.

Mr Tai-Chang said the Guava was a fruit rich in nutrients.

“So during the open day we are to not only showcase the Guava plants but to also train interested farmers who want to plant this kind of Guava,” he said.
