RFMF claims world cup title

THE Fiji Military Forces rugby league team is the new champion of the Defence Forces World Cup after its victory over defending champion and host, Australia 44-12.
Fiji, whose inclusion came at the eleventh hour after team Serbia missed out began their winning streak after thumping British Forces 40-20.
They continued their campaign with a win over the New Zealand Defence Force, however lost to Australia in the round robin copetition.
The Fiji-based team, however, proved on Sunday that it was a team to look out for in future Defence Forces World Cup games as they overpowered the “men in green and gold” at the grand final at Pepper Stadium. After the win the Fiji Military Forces holds both world cup titles in rugby league and rugby union.
