Rewa football coach steps down

REWA football coach Nigel Khan has stepped down.

Association vice-president and team director Lawrence Nath confirmed this saying they had accepted the former coach’s decision.

“We respect his call and we have accepted his decision. The morale of the team is down after the 6-1 defeat to Nadi but we are looking at ways to fight back,” Nath said.

He added that until a new coach was finalised, senior players would guide the team.

“Players like Amani Makoe and Posiano Kalisito have been given the responsibilities to lead the team. We will re-advertise the coach’s position and select a new coach accordingly.”

Rewa plays Lautoka at 3pm this Sunday in the Vodafone Premier League at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
