Fiji Airports (FA) did not have processes and procedures on revenue management documented, the Auditor-General has stated in his 2019-2020 Report on Pubic Enterprises and Other Entities tabled in Parliament on Thursday.

The Office of the Auditor-General audited the 2019 accounts of FA and looked at the processes and procedures for revenue.

“Although the relevant employees are generally aware of the practices of carrying out their particular tasks relating to revenue management and collection, we noted that these processes and procedures were not documented,” the Auditor-General stated.

“The company has 14 revenue streams.

“We recommended that the processes and procedures including accounting systems and controls to be well documented and made accessible to staff to be complied with.”

The Auditor-General stated the company has noted the recommendation and commenced with the documenting of the processes and procedures for the individual revenue streams aligned to best practices.
