Restricted movement of vehicles in Labasa will start from 10am today as the Australian Governor-General David Hurley arrives in the Friendly North.

Divisional Police Commander North Acting Senior Superintendent Viliame Soko said the restricted movement would be along the Airport Road to Naduri Village.

“We’re asking all motorists to keep the highway clear as our high profile guests and entourage use the roads,” he said.

“Traffic flow will be stopped at junctions along the highway to allow the entourage to pass through.”

Acting SSP Soko said they were also working with Fiji Roads Authority executives on details of road usage.
