Local tourism stakeholders converged at Vuda’s Landers Bay Resort and Spa Fiji on Friday to witness the unveiling of the Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa new logo.
The Coral Coast based property which belongs to the Tour Managers group underwent the ‘logo’ rebranding after the local tourism sector rebounded from the wrath of the COVID-19 crisis.
Managing director Damend Gounder said the past two years were the worst challenge they had encountered, however, they were thankful that they initiated ideas that kept the operations alive.
He also recognised the hard yards put together by his staff in the fight against COVID-19. “I pay tribute to our team who engaged with the Ministry of Health to assist persons infected with COVID-19,” Mr Gounder said.
“Many of our members had to spend days away from home, a few of them got infected and had to be quarantined and isolated but this loyal group of employees turned up again to work. “For over 90 days they were on the ground assisting and I would like to thank my hardworking staff for their commitment to the nation during this tough time.”
Mr Gounder said he started his tour company back in 2005 and was glad that a lot of growth has happened over the years.
