Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay delivered a memorable Easter weekend with the launch of ‘Momi Bay Sunset Series’ yesterday, April 3, 2021
‘Momi Bay Sunset Series’ was inspired by popular beach clubs and holiday destinations from around the world which the Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay introduced with the launch of the event.
According to a statement by the award-winning resort the event offered guests an experience to indulge in famous cuisine and exotic beverages, while enjoying beautiful views from their Fish Bar and Infinity Pool.
Silvano Dressino, General Manager of Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay said they were excited to thrill local travelers with an out of the ordinary experience while borders are been closed.
“The ideas and concepts of the Momi Bay Sunset Series had been innovated to offer a holiday escapade combining food, beverages, music and aura at the Fish Bar. The ideal event location with an infinity pool to offer the best sunset sceneries to complement the coastal theme.”
The launch enliven inspirations from Goa, India, with vibrant beats, beach club energy and exquisite aura and theming of the state, renowned for its natural scenic beauty and attractive beaches.
The food and beverage menu was inspired by popular dishes from the Goa Marriott Resort and Spa, incorporating a range of quality local ingredients from the land and sea.
A characteristic of Goan food is the intense flavor with main ingredients including seafood, coconut milk, rice and local spices, for instance, Goa’s popular “Xacutti” curry with complexed spicing will be served on the evening.
Christian Knecht, Executive Chef, Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay said “With a tropical climate very similar to the South Pacific, the availability of fresh locally produced spice and ingredients to create favorite dishes from Goa and South India is advantageous to bringing in new flavors to Fiji. The late afternoon starts with sunset cocktails and Goan inspired music from DJ Christonite by the infinity pool before guests indulge in this unique dining experience at the Fish Bar.
