A DISTRICT representative on Ovalau has extended his appreciation to the Fiji Roads Authority for the works completed at Tokou Village.

Nasinu district representative Losio Waqa said there were no more potholes.

“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Fiji Roads Authority for the roadworks done on Tokou Village on Ovalau,” he said.

“I understand there are plans for FRA to continue roadworks for five other villages from Draiba to Natokalau.”

Commissioner Eastern Luke Moroivalu said roadworks earmarked for the Lomaiviti Group included maintenance, renewal and capital projects for Ovalau and Koro.

“The scoping have already been done, whatever roadwork can be done this year we have to do it, the rest can be done in the next financial year,” Mr Moroivalu said.

“We will have to work within our remaining budget.”

FRA will be using $7-8 million on roadworks in the Lomaiviti Province for this financial year.
