Remand prisoner escapes from Suva court house

A REMAND prisoner escaped from the Suva Court House this hour, Police have confirmed.

And Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said they are now searching for a  White Hybrid Taxi LT4877 that was believed to have been used as a getaway vehicle to transport Niko Rokara Levula.

Levula is a remand prisoner in a case of rape.

Police have advised anyone with information or may have seen the vehicle to call Crime Stoppers on 919.
