THE match officials who will be officiating at the 33rd Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s at Prince Charles Park this weekend have been providing clinics for the teams that have been participating in the mini-tournaments for the past three weeks in the lead-up to the main event.

The main focus has been on the tackle area with a number of high tackles recorded in local tournaments.

Nawaka Rugby Club president Eparama Sailo said the players had been made aware of rule changes and it had been beneficial.

Sailo said the players had been reminded about discipline on the field.

“This is a positive way to build confidence in the players and they can improve their skill level,” he said.

“All the matches will be played within the Prince Charles Park enclosure so the fans can have easy access to the games they want to witness.”
