Redemption round: Fiji, France, Spain and Argentina in Dubai 7s Pool C

The Fiji 7s team get an early chance to settle the score this weekend, after being drawn in Pool C with third place winners Argentina for the second round of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

Fiji is in Pool C alongside France and Spain and Argentina who goes top seed.

Gold medal winners South Africa leads pool A with Great Britain Ireland and Japan.

The United States lead the suspected pool of death in Pool B which also includes Australia, Kenya and Canada.

In the women’s contest, gold medallist Australia leads pool A with Russia, Brazil, Canada and Spain.

First time World Rugby Sevens Series silver medallist Fijiana 7s is the top seed in Pool B with formidable opponents France, Great Britain, USA and Ireland.

The Fiji 7s team heads into the tournament with 15 points in fourth place with South Africa in first place with 22 points on the overall points table.

The Fijiana 7s team sits second with 18 points, two points shy of leaders Australia in the women’s competition.
