THE Fiji Red Cross Society (FRCS) hosted the Pacific First Aid Train the Trainer Workshop earlier today at the Ministry of Civil Service Training Centre at Nasese in Suva.

The workshop is designed to help FRCS volunteers get accreditation for first-aid training, which was facilitated by New Zealand Red Cross Training Coordinator Lesley Jacobson.

FRCS director general Filipe Nainoca stressed the importance of one knowing the lifesaving gift.

“It is a training to save a life. In this training, you will be given the capacity to help a person to train someone else,” Mr Nainoca as he addressed the training participants.

More than 10 participants are attending the workshop.

The workshop continues tomorrow.
