Update: 3:24PM SHELTER and the spread of diseases are some issues that need to be attended to by the Fiji Red Cross Society.
This was highlighted by the FRCS’s director-general, Filipe Nainoca in a press statement marking the 100th day after Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston devastated Fiji.
“People who’ve lost their homes are still in tents or temporary shelters,” he said.
“The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent society is supporting the Fiji Red Cross recovery plan which will focus on shelter, water and sanitation, health education and disease prevention.”
