FIJI 7s coach Gareth Baber is keeping his 12-member team for the Los Angeles close to his chest.

He wants to properly monitor his team’s training sessions and players’ performance before naming his side for this weekend’s tournament in the World Rugby Sevens Series.

Riding on the Australia 7s win in Sydney, Baber remained tight-lipped on who will make the final 12-member cut to surprise oppositions.

He has a newcomer, Suliano Volivoli, who is likely to be unleashed as Fiji’s find for the season.

“Suli (Volivoli) is in the 14-member group that has come over,” Baber said.

“He is learning and developing on things. I will make my decisions based on how the training goes tomorrow (today) and the training that goes after that to select the final squad that goes into the weekend.

“I will not pre-empt anything at the moment because everyone is up for selection.”

The Fiji 7s team held a scrimmaging session with Australia yesterday.
