Isaiah Ravula, the nephew of All Blacks superstar Richie Mo’unga, will be one player to look out for when Fiji takes on Australia during the World Rugby Under-20 Championship at the Danie Craven Stadium in Stellenbosch, South Africa on Sunday morning.

According to World Rugby, Ravula is a product of St Andrew’s College in Christchurch and was a star of the New Zealand schoolboy circuit.

“A fly-half with lightning-quick feet, he has the potential to be every bit as big in the game as his uncle, All Black Richie Mo’unga.

He joined the Highlanders Academy in 2022,” World Rugby stated.

Ravula has paternal links to Moce in Lau, while his mother is the elder sibling of Mo’unga.

Other big names in the Fiji U20 are Fijian Drua’s Motukiai Murray and Philip Baselala, two young players who have come through the development stages of Fiji Rugby.

The side also boasts several players from Australia and New Zealand.

“The team has prepared really well and is looking forward to the championship,” team coach Ifereimi Rawaqa said.

“We have had players who were also part of the Fijian Warriors and their experience has really boosted the side.”

The match against Australia is at 2.30am (Fiji time).

Meanwhile, the side is seeded 11th in the competition and also faces England and Ireland in Pool B.
