Ratudina passes on

FUNERAL arrangements are in progress for former Fiji rugby rep Nimilote Ratudina who died at Nasinu at the age of 70 last week.

Ratudina, a member of the Pio Bosco Tikoiosuva-captained Fiji team that beat the British Lions in Suva in 1977, died after a short illness.

The former prop forward began playing rugby with the Suva Youth Centre in 1967 before becoming one of the pioneers Castaway Rugby Club.

Ratudina played for Fiji from 1972-1979 and tallied 14 points.

He was currently the head of school for building and civil engineering at the Fiji National University when he died.

He will be buried on October 10 at Dakuibeqa, Beqa Island.
