Ratu Tevita makes his final journey home

People of Lautoka paid their final respect to former Fijian prime minister Ratu Tevita Momoedonu as his body was escorted through Lautoka City on its final journey home to Viseisei, Vuda in the last hour.

The casket wrapped in the Fiji flag was escorted by military and police personnel led by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto.

Ratu Tevita will lie in his traditional home of Sawaieke tonight before his burial tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama is expected to lead the government’s delegation to Viseisei tomorrow.
