NASESEVIA Secondary School sprinters Kesaia Lovoni and Aviame Cawi ruled the inter-girls 200m finals during the Ratu Navula College inter-house competition at Lautoka’s Churchill Park this afternoon.
The duo outpaced all the Ratu Navula sprinters and won the gold and silver medals, respectively.
Kesaia said they had reaped the fruits of hard work after training every morning and afternoon in the past months.
She said the next goal was to do better at the Nadi Zone.
Meanwhile, Nasesevia Secondary School competed at the Ratu Navula College inter-house competition for exposure.
School principal Mesulame Uluimoala said the reason for the change in their athletics strategy was to expose their athletes to battle against top athletes.
He said the competition would also best gauge their athletes’ performance before the Nadi Zone.
