“People needing food assistance can dial *161# from 12pm on Sunday, May 16,” the statement read.

“Applicants must provide their name and other details, including street address, and it is imperative that we have information that will allow us to locate you quickly.”

The statement read requests received before 12 midday tomorrow would not be registered.

According to the statement, 118,000 households had been provided $90 in assistance in the past week, including 37,000 recipients in Nadi and Lautoka and 81,000 recipients in the Lami-Suva-Nasinu-Nausori areas.
