While our Christian families celebrated Palm Sunday yesterday, Hindus will converge today to celebrate the birth of Lord Rama.
For the past eight nights, Hindus have been praying and fasting and today, amid singing and dancing, will come together to give thanksgiving to Lord Rama and celebrate his birth.
As we approach Easter, Fijians are blessed to witness such religious events unfold every year.
It is true that Fiji can boast of religious tolerance and harmony and share the spirit of goodwill and peace.
Lord Rama’s values if taken well will lead to success, prosperity and good health. He taught us how to respect our parents.
Thus, on behalf of my family and the executives of Shree Sanatan Sat Sang Ramayan Mandali Nadawa, I wish my Hindu brothers and sisters a blessed Ram Navami celebration.
Jai Shree Sita Ram!
