Update: 4:35PM HUNDREDS of people gathered at the Nasese foreshore from midday today until late this afternoon as they marked the final day of Ram Naumi.

Hindu devotees believe that Lord Rama symbolises courage, commitment, and other good virtues.

At sea, the believers leave food, fruits, and flowers that they have gathered at the various mandirs along the Suva-Nausori corridor from day one of the celebrations.

Gyanendra Singh of Shiv Mandir located at Narere, Nasinu, said it was a time for celebration as the birth of Lord Rama meant good had triumphed over evil.
