Rakiraki learns on the trot

RAKIRAKI’S draw with Suva has not only boosted their morale, but gave them a sense of belief that nothing in impossible.

Head coach Pragdeesh Goundar said the draw was a big booster for their young side despite losing their first two games in the 2017 Inkk Battle of the Giants.

They initially lost to Nadi 3-0 in their first game, then to host Labasa 4-0 in the second game.

The westerners showed a lot of resilience to bounce back and drew level with Suva which is considered one of the favourites in the 2017 BOG competition.

“Iam proud of the efforts put forward by our young players they really showed a lot of determination and spirit,” Goundar said.

He said their performance yesterday was dedicated to all the people of Rakiraki.

“With our performance today (yesterday) we can only get better from here and we urge all our fans to come out in big numbers and support us in our upcoming league games.

Rakiraki will be playing four home games and one away in the upcoming National League fixtures.
