BLUE Ribbon event winner for Ratu Kadavulevu School inter-house competition Kolinio Radrudru is eyeing gold at the upcoming Coca-Cola Games.

The Nawaca, Bua lad won gold for Cakau House in the senior boys 100 metres event and was confident of scooping gold for his school in the annual schools games.

“I am very happy with my run today (yesterday) and I believe with more time to train and improve I will be able to get that gold medal win in the blue ribbon event in the Coke Games,” said Radrudru.

Radrudru ran for Suva Grammar School in the secondary schools athletics finals last year and also competed at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia but bowed out during the heats.

“I feel like I need to improve on my starting and some areas,” said Radrudru.

“I dedicate my win to my grandparents back in the village who have made many sacrifices for us and this win is for them,” he added.

Radrudru clocked a time of 10.72 seconds and will be one to watch out for in the 2019 Coca-Cola Games.
