Radradra breaks Ella’s 33-year-old club record

Update: 4:48PM FIJIAN rugby league player Semi Radradra has broken Steve Ella’s 33-year club record for most tries in a single season.

Radradra
has sounded this warning to NRL rivals that he can only get better.  

The
Fijian flyer did his best to inspire his team with two tries in the opening
hour in their final match of the season against Canberra on Sunday. But his
try-scoring feats weren’t enough, with the Eels collapsing late to fall 28-24
in golden point.

Still, the
23-year-old is favoured to retain his mantle as Dally M Winger of the Year
after beating out Canterbury rival Curtis Rona as the league’s top try scorer,
etching his name in the record books in the process.

Radradra’s
24 tries this year is the most in a single season in over a decade.
