Race for Bati coach continues

THE Fiji National Rugby League (FNRL) has received applications from England and Australia for the Fiji Bati coaching position.
The FNRL said application for the position remained open and it would run for a four-year contract.
This was revealed by the Fiji Bati resident coach Joe Rabele at the FNRL head office in Suva yesterday.
Rabele said they had reopened the application for the FNRL coach and had received positive responses from some international coaches.
“The application is still open and we have received a lot of responses from coaches in Australia and England,” said Rabele.
“It’s only open to international coaches because Government only wants expatriates to take this position.
This coaching position requires people who have completed their high performance coaching and involved in a national or NRL team.”
At the moment Waisea Kativerata is the only local who is eligible for the position since he has completed his level 3 high performance coaching certificate.
Applications close next Wednesday, October 10.
