OPPOSITION and Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) leader Sitiveni Rabuka says the Multinational Observer Group’s (MOG) report on the 2018 General Election is superficial, shallow and generic in nature with nothing substantial.

Mr Rabuka said it was unfortunate that the MOG lacked the depth of understanding of the reality on the ground, particularly the political and social structure of Fijian society.

He claimed the report failed to acknowledge the existing legal framework that posed major challenges to attempts to hold free, fair and credible elections.

“The claim by the MOG that the 2018 General Election was ‘credible’ is far from the truth, and must be taken with a pinch of salt,” he said.

Mr Rabuka claimed the MOG team for the 2018 General Election did not carry out their duties diligently.
