REDUCING crime is everyone’s responsibility.

This was the message from Community Policing director Senior Superintendent of Police Isei Raboiliku while opening the Digicel Duavata Northern Crime Prevention Carnival in Labasa on Saturday.

“Police cannot fight crime alone and we need the support of everyone to reduce the crime rate in Fiji,” he said.

“We need to work together, not only in the North, but around the country to ensure we create a safe community for all.”

SSP Raboiliku urged everyone to take ownership and support police in fighting crime.

“Duavata means inclusiveness and we need to work together to create a secure and safe community for everyone in Fiji.”

Funds raised in past carnivals have funded various community projects and helped in the purchase of CCTV (closed circuit television) cameras for Labasa Town.
