QUEEN Victoria School will face their Tailevu arch rivals Ratu Kadavulevu School in the final of the under-18 in the Eastern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby competition this weekend.
The Victorians defeated crowd favourite St John’s College 16-10 in a mouth-watering clash at Ratu Cakobau Park on Saturday.
Assistant principal Dan Domoni said St John’s had always been a threat to them after the Ovalau-based school defeated them during the pool games in the past weeks.
“The boys played well, they executed the game plan superbly and minimised their indiscipline on the field,” Domoni said.
“We have to look forward now.
“We got to cut down on our basic mistakes as RKS will be playing at the top of their game.
“We also need to polish up on our decision making at every crucial times.”
Both the Tailevu teams will be looking at a “battle of titans” of who will be the best in the Eastern zone. QVS as defending Coke Zero Deans champion knows the task at hand as they will try to defend their title.
RKS has the talent and the speed and will be utilising it against its opponent.
All finals matches will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park next weekend.
