FROM a distance the Queen Victoria School complex looks like every school parents would want to send their children to.

Well constructed, beautifully painted buildings, in addition to the schools reputation of producing many of the country’s great nation builders and athletes.

However a closer look and the school which was rehabilitated by the Indonesian government as part of rehabilitation works after severe tropical cyclone Winston made landfall, shows signs of it slowly falling apart.

Two hostels are now closed as windows are missing louvre blades, holes in walls, falling ceiling, exposed electricity wires and in totality a complete mess.

Cracks on walls are visible at the main office, with part of the ceiling about to fall.
