QVS old boys makes clean sweep

THE Battle of the Victorian competition ended with a clean sweep from the Queen Victoria School old boy’s central team at Buckhurst ground yesterday.

QVSOB Secretary Tevita Tuiloa said despite the rainy weather they managed to complete their tournament.

“Firstly, a big vinaka vakalevu to both rugby clubs and players especially our brothers from the west for preparing well for today’s games and I believed we unearthed a few rugby talents,” he said.

“Lastly, we aim to build on the success of today, and that of the last three years, making this event a bigger and better one next year for our future rugby players.”

Overall results as follows:

1) Development: East 19 – 11 West (Vocea Cup)

2) Oldies: East 12 – 5 West (Legends Trophy)

3) Premier: East 23 – 13 West (SLR Shield)

Overall Winner: QVS East Rugby Club
