Issue of rape

It has been a taboo subject for far too long. I believe we have to start talking about it openly before it destroys society.

Another chance

The beauty of being alive is that each day you are given another chance to correct what you did wrong and improve on what you can do right.

Driver’s licence

When I was handed my driver’s licence the testing officer congratulated me and said as a parting advice: “This licence is not a right, it is a privilege that when abused will be taken back.” Every time I come across a situation when driving, I was always reminded of this advice and have not had an accident since. Do have a safe driving Easter weekend.

New footpaths

I am so happy with the construction of the new footpaths in Labasa Town. I only wish, if roads around Labasa Town could have been made of concrete just like these footpaths, then probably we could have maintenance-free and everlasting roads. Anyway, a big thank you to the Government for providing the money for the construction of these footpaths.

Approach Government

I urge youth groups and communities located in densely populated settlements along the Suva/Nausori corridor to make approaches to Government to help build new resource and community centres for their settlements. I believe these areas are more densely populated than Raiwaqa-Raiwai and Nabua in which I believe Government has concentrated its assistance in building resources and rugby centres. I believe the time to approach is now.
