Fiji vs

Fiji

Yet again Fiji fried New Zealand in the Hong Kong pool plays. The New Zealand sevens team should change their name to (Fiji team 2). Well as the saying goes “never underestimate a Fijian with rugby ball”.

Reception

issue

Is the Walesi transmission prone to heavy rain? Do they need me to hold an umbrella over their transmitter?

Wow, that DLS poll intrigues me.

Really?

Undecided

voters

I believe the high number of undecided voters build the platform for change. One can smell it lingering in the air and that’s the beauty of democracy, the ability to bring change to political leadership through the stroke of a pen.

Providing

comfort

Is it really mandatory for political parties, politicians and provisional candidates who are providing comfort to flood victims to promptly upload their snapped pictures and “selfies” on social media for the world to see the noble deed that they are carrying out?

Cava qori, selfie competition or a popularity contest?

Nishant Singh,

Lautoka.

Disaster

victims

I believe never in our history a PM and A-G have reached out to victims on the very next day.

I salute you both. I believe this country is very privileged and fortunate to have you both.

A. Shariff Shah,

Savusavu.

FNPF

money

FNPF members own the money they deduct to FNPF every week or fortnight or monthly they are paid. I believe Government has no say in that. I believe it is for members and FNPF to decide upon.

What Government must do is to “consider cash grants to victims” after a thorough assessment by a chosen or selected experienced team to all affected areas. May we ask, what has government contributed to those affected by the floods etc? I believe only food packs bought using taxpayers’ money.

Alex Waqalevu,

Lautoka.
