Where did it

come from

Twelve have died from meningococcal disease and the number may increase in the following weeks as health authorities complete investigations into deaths suspected to be from the disease. (FT 20/3) Where did this disease come from?

Allen Lockington,

Kava Place, Waiyavi, Lautoka.

Free

milk

Has there been a follow-up study on the effect and or benefits derived from free milk supply for Year 1 students by the Minister of Education and a report tabled?

Dan Urai,

Lautoka.

Scattered

rubbish

After a recent graduation ceremony I couldn’t help but notice the amount of scattered rubbish in the refreshment area.

I guess it’s a norm in the country, and I still wonder, why is it so hard for some people to put their rubbish in the bin?

Koroi Seduadua,

Suva.

Know

yourself

Know that by knowing which all else is known – know yourself. This saying of the wise applies to modern times as well.

Through self-knowledge a man can easily resolve many difficulties encountered even of health and relationships.

So do take an interest in yourself and find the way. You will if you seek sincerely.

The world will be a better place to live in.

Hassan Ali,

Vitogo Pde, Lautoka.

Counselling

services

I give my full support to Mesake Driubalavu and Francis Areki.

These problems need to be taught in schools from Year 1 to Year 13. In return while the children are practising these, the adults will also learn.

Inculcate moral values in children from a very young age. There should be a special team of five to six people in each education district for this purpose only.

They should visit all schools in their respective districts and spread this message to students and staff.

Paras Naidu,

Lautoka.
