NATIONAL Federation Party Parliamentarian Lenora Qereqeretabua has called on Government to come clean on its relationship with Grace Road.

She said the State had to explain how Fijian academic Dr Brij Lal was exiled for being a critic while it remained mum on the derogatory comments against the Fijian people made by Grace Road leader Shin Ok-ju – as witnessed in an Al Jazeera expose.

Ms Qereqeretabua also called on Government to explain how the ‘cult’ was allowed to establish cafes and bakeries – businesses reserved for Fiji citizens under the Foreign Investment Act.

Meanwhile, she said Fiji should not be surprised with the increase in violence in the country because cases of detention and torture by those sworn to protect and serve were unprecedented
