THE publication dates for weekly vernaculars — Shanti Dut and Nai Lalakai — have moved from Tuesday and Wednesday respectively to Friday with fresh new content, says Fiji Times Pte Ltd executive consultant Hank Arts.

Mr Arts said readers should expect the first of the new editions out on March 29.

“Firstly, apologies to our loyal readers of the Nai Lalakai and Shanti Dut weekly publications.

“Many of our regular readers have been looking for these newspapers over the past few weeks. “Both have been temporarily discontinued due to a major revamp, both in terms of layout and design as well as upgraded content,” Mr Arts said.

“It has been some time since the team at The Fiji Times concentrated efforts to upgrade both the Nai Lalakai and Shanti Dut.

“We realised that our readers were demanding more exclusive and critical content, especially focused on our Hindi and iTaukei readers. “We had a team interviewing readers around the country for their feedback.

“It was clear there was a need to upgrade these special publications.

“Unfortunately this has taken more time than anticipated, but we hope readers will be happy with planned changes on both publications.

“We plan to put out content we believe our Hindi and iTaukei readers around the country can relate to weekly. “We plan to be more receptive to your needs and welcome your participation to ensure these publications meet your expectations.” .

Mr Arts thanked readers for their patience and looked forward to serving them better with brighter news and feature articles.
