THE Republic of Fiji Military Forces will be using live explosives in its mock exercise around the vicinity of Vuya Road in Nasese, Suva, this morning (Thursday, June 14, 2018).
And members of the public have been advised to keep a lookout.
In a public notice released yesterday, the RFMF said the use of explosives was part of the week-long celebrations of the 40th anniversary of Fiji’s contribution to the United Nations Peacekeeping Operations around the world.
The mock exercise will simulate a real-time scenario of troops manning a UN checkpoint from 9am to 4pm near the entrance to the old parliamentary complex.
