WITH the US presidential elections only a few weeks away, it would be interesting to see the final outcome on who will take over the Oval Office and become the most powerful person on the planet.
I believe a win for Donald Trump will carry on the legacy of male dominance and chauvinism in the upper echelons of American society. But if Hillary Clinton wins the White House in November it would be a historic moment, the smashing of the pre-eminent glass ceiling in American public life.
America’s daughters will at last have living proof that they too can grow up to be America’s president.
But for whoever wins, it really doesn’t come down to gender.
It comes to qualification, experience and judgement.
