Update: 1:10PM EIGHTEEN people were awarded the Order of Fiji awards by President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau at the Government House in Suva this morning.
Kaliopate Tavola, Robin Yarrow, Peter Thomson and Dixon Seeto were given the Officer of the Order of Fiji medals in the General Division.
Captain Timoci Natuva, Brigadier General Mosese Tikoitoga and Commander Viliame Naupoto were given the Officer of the Order of Fiji medals in the Military Division.
The general division Member of the Order of Fiji honours were given to Saleshni Chand, Arun Singh, Bhagwanji Bhindi and Rajendra Singh.
For the military division, Warrant Officer Class I Inia Rarawa, Warrant Officer Class I Samu Raikadroka, Warrant Officer Class I Waisake Bale and Warrant Officer Class I Ulaiasi Tuilevuka were recognised.
Prem Lal and Mohammed Sharif Sahim were recognised for their contribution towards humanity and given the Medal of the Order of Fiji and Dr Satendra Singh was given the Honorary Officer of the Order of Fiji for his part in maintaining international ties between Fiji and the world.
