PREPARATIONS for the annual Fijian Tourism Expo have begun.

The expo was cancelled following inclement weather caused by Tropical Cyclones Keni and Josie in April last year.

The much awaited event will now be held from May 22 to 24 at the Denarau Island Convention Centre.

The trade exhibition will also include scheduled appointments for international buyers and media on hand to engage with members of Fiji’s tourism sector.

Tourism Fiji CEO Matthew Stoeckel earlier stated the event was a great way to bring members of the industry together.

“Our annual expo is the perfect opportunity for Fiji to showcase the best of what we have to offer and I encourage our local industry to attend and participate,” Mr Stoeckel said.
